How To Make $1000/day With Remote Cleaning

Earning $1,000 a day running a cleaning business remotely is very achievable.

Once you get some momentum, everything gets easier – but getting those first few clients in through the door is arguably the hardest step to take.

Today, I’ll tell you how to get started and the 5 steps to take to get your business up and running.

1. Target Recurring Residential Clients

Focus on homeowners who need weekly, biweekly, or monthly cleaning services. Why? Recurring clients are the backbone of a stable, scalable business.

For example, if you charge $200 per cleaning, securing just five recurring clients a day gets you to that $1,000 mark. Forget about one-offs like deep cleans or post-construction jobs—consistency is key!

2. Hire 2–3 Reliable Cleaners

You’ll need a team of 2–3 cleaners to handle the daily workload. Each cleaner can typically handle two jobs a day.

Use platforms like Indeed to find top-quality cleaners. Offer competitive wages to attract the best talent.
Quality cleaners make your life easier and keep clients happy, which means more referrals and repeat business.

3. Don’t Underprice Your Services

It’s tempting to lowball your prices to attract clients, but trust me—this will hurt your growth long-term.

Here’s a pricing formula you can use:

  • Calculate your cleaner’s hourly rate (e.g., $20/hour).
  • Multiply that by the cleaning time (e.g., 4 hours = $80).
  • Double it. That’s your client rate (e.g., $160).

This ensures a 50% gross profit margin, which keeps your business profitable while covering growth costs like marketing and technology.

4. Minimize Non-Cleaner Costs

One of the best parts of a remote cleaning business is its low overhead. Avoid unnecessary expenses like fancy offices or excessive software subscriptions.

Here’s how the numbers break down for a $1,000-a-day business:

  • Pay 50% of revenue to cleaners ($500).
  • Budget for essentials like marketing, recruitment, and software (approx. $2,000/month).
  • Gross monthly profit: $8,000—meaning you’re on track for nearly $100,000/year!

Track every dollar spent and focus on what delivers the best ROI.

5. Invest Aggressively in Marketing

Once you’ve built a strong foundation, it’s time to scale. Test multiple marketing channels—Google Ads, Facebook, Yelp, and even local flyers.

While every market is unique, Google Ads and Local Service Ads are a great place to start. And don’t forget free channels, like social media and community outreach, which can drive results without breaking the bank.

Building a $1,000-a-day business is absolutely doable. Start small, stay disciplined, and grow at your own pace.

Let’s make 2025 a year to remember!
