How To Rank Your Cleaning Business #1 on Google

If you’re serious about growing a six or seven-figure cleaning business, having a strong SEO strategy is essential.

• Title & Content: In the main home page title, clearly state your main service (e.g., House Cleaning Services) and don’t forget to include the primary location served (e.g., Denver, CO) – this is often missed.
• Service & Location Pages: Create separate pages for different cleaning services (move-in/move-out, post-construction, recurring) and for each sub-location in your service area.
• Technical SEO: Ensure your website loads in under 3 seconds, optimize image sizes, and use proper titles and descriptions for all images.

2. Off-Site SEO: Build Your Business’s Online Authority

• Citations: Keep your business name, address, and phone number (NAP) consistent across directories like Yelp, Facebook, and Google.
• Backlinks: Quality is key—secure links from authoritative sites rather than low-quality blogs. Use tools like Ahrefs to find backlink opportunities.
• Skyscraper Technique: Find popular cleaning-related content, create something even better, and reach out to those sites that linked to the original content.

3. Google Business Profile: Dominate Local Searches

• Complete Your Profile: Max out your business description, adding lots of images and videos.
• Regular Posts & Engagement: Post weekly to show Google you’re active.
• Get More Reviews: Reviews drive rankings! Always ask happy clients for a Google review and use software to automate the follow up by email / text to ensure to maximise the number of reviews you get.

By following these strategies, you’ll improve your rankings, attract more local customers, and ultimately grow your cleaning business quicker.
